After a few months of close collaboration, Microphyt and Archimede Ricerche, the subsidiary of the APG group, will jointly present their natural active ingredients range at Vitafoods Europe in Geneva from May 15th to 17th.

Vitafoods Europe is the event where the global nutraceutical supply chain meet. Vitafoods Europe is the only dedicated event covering the entire nutraceutical supply chain : ingredients and raw materials, contract manufacturing and private label, services and equipment and branded finished products. This exhibition brings together 1,100+ of the most innovative suppliers and 21,000+ senior decision-maker who are looking to source nutraceutical ingredients and raw materials, services and dietary supplements.

The nutraceutical products of the two partners will then be presented at the show: Astapak (spray-dried biomass of Haematococcus pluvialis, standardized in astaxanthin from 1.5% to 3.5%), VitalSpir (premium Spirulina with high level of Phycocyanin) and VitalChlo (spray-dried biomass of Chlorella vulgaris rich in nutrients). Vitafoods will also be the opportunity for Microphyt to highlight the breakthroughs of two new proprietary natural active ingredients that will be on the market by 2019. They focus on weight management and the prevention of age-related cognitive decline. The team will be delighted to welcome visitors to booth L170!

MICROPHYT SA is an innovative SME specializing in the production and commercialization of microalgae-based natural active ingredients. With its know-how and experience of more than 10 years in this field, Microphyt draws from the microalgae unique solutions for nutrition & health and cosmetics industries. Microphyt’s technologies, developed internally and patented, allow the controlled production of microalgae biomass and extracts. Microalgae are cultured in 5,000 litre capacity tubular photobioreactors. These systems are particularly suited to the production of delicate and/or slow-growing species in that they preserve their cellular integrity; consequently, they offer access to an immensely diverse range of interesting molecules. Microphyt has filed four patents on microalgae production processes. The company now comprises 15 people.
